Privacy Policy
Raid is a group study app: your squad starts a shared focus session, and the session only advances while everyone stays in the app. This policy explains what data Raid handles, why, and how you delete it. It is written to match what the app actually does — Raid has no analytics SDKs, no advertising, and does not sell or share your data with anyone.
What we collect
Account. Your email address and a password (stored only as a secure hash by our backend provider), plus the username you choose. Your username is visible to other signed-in users you share rooms with.
Phone number (optional). You can add your phone number so friends who invite you by number land on your account. It is stored separately from your profile, is never shown to anyone, and matching only ever works on an exact number a friend already has. You can remove your number at any time in Profile → Phone number.
Home city (optional). A city you pick from a list, shown on your profile card. It is a label you choose — Raid never accesses your device's location.
Focus activity. To run sessions and rankings, Raid records when you start a session and when you leave the app mid-session ("bail"), plus derived totals: focus time, streaks, coins, and unlocked trains. While you are in a room, your squad sees your live status (focused or away) and whether your app doors are locked.
Screen Time (Doors)
Not available in the current version of Raid. Doors is described here because it is built and planned, and because Apple asks that Screen Time use be disclosed before it ships. Nothing in this section happens in the app you have today.
When it is enabled, Raid's optional Doors feature uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) technology to let you block apps of your own choosing during a session.
- Which apps you select is known only to iOS on your iPhone. Apple's design never reveals your selection to Raid, and nothing about it is sent to our servers.
- The only thing your squad sees is a yes/no: your doors are locked.
- Screen Time data is never used for advertising or marketing, and is never shared with or sold to anyone.
- Deleting the app removes these selections from your device.
How your data is used
Only to run the app: signing you in, running live sessions with your squad, phone-number invite matching, and computing rankings, streaks, and unlocks. Nothing else. No profiling, no ads, no tracking across apps or websites.
Where it lives
Raid's backend is hosted by Supabase, which processes data on our behalf and provides the same level of protection described here. No other third party receives your data.
Retention and deletion
Your data is kept while your account exists. Delete your account at any time in Profile → Delete account — this immediately and permanently erases your account and everything attached to it (profile, focus history, coins, trains, streaks, and phone number) from our servers, including sessions you hosted. You can also request deletion or a copy of your data by email.
Children
Raid is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above changes with it, and material changes will be called out in the app.
